Bald Eagle Grotto is one of the leaders on the Cave Rescue scene, with most of our members being cave rescue trained, and 3 members on the teaching staff of the National Cave Rescue Commission (Eastern Region). We are probably best known as the managers of Alexander's Cavern, one of the most beautiful caves in Pennsylvania. The rowboat trip through the Wet Section of Alexander's is an absolutely breathtaking and memorable event, and the New Section contains one of the largest stalagmites in the East (over 30 ft. tall and 25 ft. around), as well as some pure white rimstone and crystal pools. We currently are pushing the insurgence sumps in search of the unknown origins of Honey Creek.

Bald Eagle Grotto also offers training in caving and vertical techniques. We've helped many neophytes become experienced cavers and climbers. You've probably caved with some of them already.
